Welcoming children

Christ Church has thriving children's activities and creches at our morning services. We enjoy welcoming children and families and look forward to getting to know you. Do come on a Sunday, or join us at Link to experience our children's activities.

Baptism

For the children of committed Christians, there is also a service of baptism. This service involves giving thanks and praying for the child, as well as:

the parents making a statement of their belief in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and their acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord

the parents making promises to pray for the child, instruct them in the Christian faith and bring them up within the local church congregation

baptising the child with water.

Baptism services follow a preparation course of teaching on the Christian faith for the parents. Baptisms take place within a main Sunday morning service.

Weddings

Christ Church is available to those wanting a Christian wedding in the parish of Abingdon. Please email the church office at office@cca.uk.net if you would like your wedding at Christ Church.
