CHILDRENS GROUPS

All the activities for children at Christ Church aim to help them develop a personal relationship with a loving God. Just as with the adults, we want the children to learn about God by discovering the Bible as God’s message to them; to know God who wants to be involved in their lives by His Spirit; to understand how they can serve Him; to learn to pray - both talking and listening to God. We also want our children to have lots of fun on a Sunday morning. We want them to make friends who will support and encourage them as they grow in faith and understand God’s rich love for them, particularly as they move on into the ‘tweenage’ years.

We have 3 groups for children ages 0-11. These groups all take place during our 9:30 service

Tiddlywinks (0-3 years)
We provide a safe and welcoming environment for little ones to be in while parents are in the adult service. Tiddlywinks enjoy playing, having fun, listening to stories and singing. We help the children know church is a safe place to be, where they are loved as an expression of God's love.

Scramblers (3-5 years)
Here the children make new friends and become more confident in being at church. They have time to play and time using crafts and Bible stories to help them learn about a loving, creator God.

GodZone (5-11)
In GodZone the children spend the first part of the morning all together learning about and meeting with God (and having lots of fun) through worship with the GodZone band, dramas, Bible stories and teaching, puppets, prayer and quizzes. Then the children move into smaller groups where they can explore and apply the teaching in age-appropriate ways. We aim to encourage the children, to share and explore faith with them, and to challenge them to live their lives for Jesus.
