Why we do what we do…..
Our vision & values

At the heart of the youth ministry is our vision to see young people grow in their Relationship With God through; studying God’s written Word and being filled with His Spirit, alive with the joy of knowing and worshipping Jesus Christ, learning how to Love One Another and having an Impact on those around them at home, school or college by sharing their faith.
This vision is based on Jesus’ command to Love God, one another, the world and those who don’t know Him.
Matthew 22:36-40

Our vision for the youth ministry is held together by five things that we see as being important. Five things that are at the heart of all we do together, things which remind us what we are all about as a youth ministry. They are the roots if you like of the youth ministry, the things that keep us rooted in God, Jesus and His Holy Spirit!

These are the five youth ministry values:
1. A place to encounter Jesus
When groups meet our goal is to meet with Jesus and experience his life changing power. We do that as we pray, worship, learn from the Bible and share life together.
2. A place to belong
The youth groups and socials we organise are intended to be more than just something you turn up too, then go away unchanged. We want to develop a community built on strong, caring relationships.
3. A place to grow
The Apostle Paul said that it was his goal to present everyone mature in Christ. We want to create an environment within our groups that encourages spiritual growth in every individual's life.
4. A place to give
We want the youth ministry to be a place where everyone recognises they have an important part to play. That means everyone, not just the really confident ones!
5. A place to reach out
The groups we run are not just for Christians, they’re for anyone! Friends are really welcome to anything we do together.

So there you go. That’s what we seek to have behind all we do in the youth ministry!
