Long Furlong works as an extended
Christian family, where the sense of community runs deep and
a willingness to help is evident at every level.
For some, just having a friendly ear
to listen to their troubles is sufficient; for others there
is a need for a little practical help from time to time which
is easily and cheerfully provided by the people who attend.
For a few, however, the problems are more complex, and there
are people in place to be of specific help. Here, the benefits
of working closely with our parent church becomes clear, as
they have many resources we can call on.
Prayer
after a service: ask the service leader or one of the
leadership team, whose photos are on the display board at
the entrance.
Visiting:
if you, or someone you know, needs a home visit then talk
to the service leader who will introduce you to someone who
can help.
Discussion:
if you would like someone to talk to about any subject that
concerns you, then have a word with the service leader who
will introduce you to someone who can help.
Counselling:
there are trained counsellors at Christ Church Northcourt
Road, and we regularly work with them to help people with
this need. Ask to be put in touch with Ros Steele
