If you are a visitor or newcomer to Long Furlong, a warm welcome to you. Please speak to the service leader and pick up a Welcome to Long Furlong leaflet and a term programme for more information.

Safety advice: we love having your children with us, but please remember that your children's safety is your responsibility whilst on the school premises and they must not be left unsupervised at any time, especially after the services.

While you're on the school premises ... The school has kindly given us permission to use the main hall, nursery, music room, the central outdoor play area (with adult supervision only), the toilets opposite the photocopier, and the corridors needed to get at them. However, please note that all other areas, especially classrooms, are out of bounds. For security reasons, no external doors or windows should be opened except by an adult, who must ensure that they are closed and locked afterwards

PRAYER AFTER THE SERVICE
If anyone would like someone to pray with them on any occasion, or after the service on Sunday, please ask whoever is leading the service, and we will direct you to an appropriate person.

FOOD MINISTRY IDEA
Here’s an idea which Chloe Wilson floated in November last year, but we thought it was worth floating again:
Vision: Show people God’s love and support the Long Furlong Congregation and Community through food.
Target Audience: Anyone going through a tough time in the church and the Long Furlong community e.g. new babies, spouses away, illness, bereavement, new to the area etc
What Would We Do: Supply meals that can be easily heated up and/or cakes etc delivered to the person’s house.
Contact if you would like to explore being involved: klowilson@hotmail.com, 525805.
If you have any surplus casserole dishes or disposable tubs (like takeaway pots) that we could use in this ministry, we would appreciate receiving them. Many thanks.

PRAYING FOR OUR WORKPLACE can be powerful if we believe that it can and will make a difference. But often we lack inspiration as the best way to tackle this. A new initiative from the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity called PrayerWorks seeks to support workplace pray-ers by sharing creative ways to pray and stories of God’s intervention, so that we don’t lose heart.
Starting on 1st February you can join with 1000 other Christians to pray blessing into your workplace for 40 days and receive daily reminders and prayer points. For more information and to register, visit http://www.licc.org.uk/prayerworks/ or speak to Charles Hippsley.
