Safety advice: we love having your children with us, but please remember that your children's safety is your responsibility whilst on the school premises and they must not be left unsupervised at any time, especially after the services.
While you're on the school premises ... The school has kindly given us permission to use the main hall, nursery, music room, the central outdoor play area (with adult supervision only), the toilets opposite the photocopier, and the corridors needed to get at them. However, please note that all other areas, especially classrooms, are out of bounds. For security reasons, no external doors or windows should be opened except by an adult, who must ensure that they are closed and locked afterwards

If anyone would like someone to pray with them on any occasion, or after the service on Sunday, please ask whoever is leading the service, and we will direct you to an appropriate person.

Come and hear about the amazing ways in which the Holy Spirit is empowering them both to bring many to faith through preaching the word and compassionate ministries. This is a vital moment for Sudan as the South votes in January 2011 on secession. CIA TWINNING GROUP
Host families and helpers are sought to support a visit of up to 20 Christians from our twinned town of Argentan in Normandy for Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th September. The newly formed Schongau (Bavaria) ecumenical twinning group has invited 10 people to visit for the Christmas Markets from Thursday 2nd to Monday 6th December. RUSH COMMON SCHOOL
The committee of Rush Common Pre-School is seeking a new Chairman from the end of September. This is a voluntary position and involves taking meetings (once every two months in the evening), liasing with Ofsted and PLA (Pre-School Learning Alliance) and being the link between staff and committee. Rush Common Pre-School is based at the Methodist church on the corner of Appleford Drive. The post would suit a friendly, organised and committed person with a desire to get involved in our local community - you don't have to have experience at working with children although a CRB check will be necessary. A DAY OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR WOMEN AT HIGHMOOR HALL
Wednesday, 22nd September at The Spring, Highmoor Hall, Henley–on-Thames, RG9 5DH, led by Jennifer Rees Larcombe, an author, speaker and counsellor. After a brain virus Jennifer was confined to a wheelchair for 8 years while her six children were small. She was healed through prayer 20 years ago and has been in the healing ministry ever since. Meeting on the first Wednesday afternoon of the month, and starting on September 1st, residents on Long Furlong and members of Christ Church Long Furlong are invited to Neighbourhood Network in the Community Centre, from 2.30 to 4.00, for refreshments, puzzles, chat and a chance to get to know folk from the neighbourhood. SPONSORED RIDE OR STRIDE Saturday 11th September
(1) Enjoy visiting local churches between 10am and 6pm by cycle or on foot to raise money for Christ Church missionaries and the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust.

OPENING THE DOORS - USER SURVEY - CAN YOU HELP?
Work is going well in the plans to build a Coffee Shop and open our barns to the Northcourt community. As part of this, we will be doing two day-long surveys on Northcourt Road on Tuesday 21st September, and Saturday 25th September. OPENING THE DOORS The Barns Project Development Team invite you to join them in the Corner Suite from 8.00 - 9.00 pm on Monday 6th September for their first prayer session of autumn 2010 and for subsequent meetings. We want to continue to pray for the many aspects of the Barns Project as it gathers momentum, to prayerfully support those ministries within the community that are already happening and to wait on God and seek His heart as we serve others in love. Prayer sessions will be on the first Monday in every month: September 6th, October 4th, November 1st and December 6th; everyone is welcome. We have been so blessed by many words of encouragement and scripture from those who joined us in spring and summer 2010 and long to prayer together again. Please come and join us
