Christ Church in Northcourt Road is the centre of a thriving community in North Abingdon.

It has over 600 members and all three of its services are packed out. When an established Church has no room to expand any more it is usual to begin what's called a "Church plant", where a number of people form another gathering somewhere nearby. This was how Christ Church on Long Furlong began.

Christ Church Northourt Road is also part of a Team Ministry that includes Long Furlong and the three Anglican churches in the centre of Abingdon: St. Michaels, St. Helens and St. Nicholas.
