Space (14-18s)
Think of Space as being like an octopus. Except without having eight legs.
Itʼs just that though we are one, we are many. We certainly donʼt take the one size fits all policy, we like to think of ourselves as having a menu that you can choose from to help you get to know Jesus better. For starters we have Space which meets on a Sunday night between 8p.m and 9.30p.m at Northcourt Road in the corner suite.
Through prayer and looking at the Bible, and then split off into groups to work out how to live this Jesus life together. Whether you join the cool sixth form group, a stressed out year 11 group or a fiery year 10 group you are sure for a warm welcome.
But this is not all, for our menu is wider and more varied than this. For those of you at Long Furlong we have 4-filled. This group meets on selected Sunday mornings to encourage one another and have fun together.
We also have a Space band stream for those who are musically minded. If you can play something, or like to worship, pop along to this.
Perhaps you are looking for even more? Well we have a ʻDeeperʼ stream running on Wednesday nights.
Look out also for various events going on during the term as the Space leaders try and find cool community projects to get you involved in. Ask Matt about these.
We also love just hanging out with you guys, so weʼll do a bit of that as well.
And we havenʼt even started on the amazing weekend away which is in the autumn term and the fun festival trip to Soul Survivor that we do in the summer. We just like to do life together - Jesus style. Everyone is welcome, why not join us?

Vision and Values
At the heart of the youth ministry is our vision to see young people meet with Jesus and grow in their relationship with God through; exploring the Bible together and being filled with His Holy Spirit; learning how to love and support each other; and through making an impact at home, school or college by telling others about Jesus.
This vision is based on Jesus' words in Matthew 22:36-40 that we Love God, one another, the world, and those who don't know Him.
Based on this vision, we place the following five aims at the heart of all we do so that we remain rooted in God the Father, Jesus and His Holy Spirit! The youth groups at Christ Church are:
- A place to encounter Jesus
When groups come together our goal is to meet with Jesus and experience his life changing power. We do that as we pray, worship, learn from the Bible and support each other. - A place to belong
The youth groups and socials we organise are more than just something you turn up too, but leave unchanged. They exist so that we can have lots of fun together and build strong, caring relationships with Jesus at the centre. - A place to grow
The Apostle Paul said that it was his goal to present everyone mature in Christ. We want to create an environment within our groups that encourages spiritual growth in each young person. - A place to give
We want the youth ministry to be a place where everyone recognises that they have an important part to play. That means everyone sharing their talents, not just those teenagers who are really confident! - A place to reach out
The groups we run are not just for Christians, they're for anyone! Friends are really welcome to anything we do together.
