The Archway Foundation
"Serving those hurt by loneliness"
Loneliness is often at the root of other difficulties and may be precipitated by bereavement, divorce, unemployment, physical or mental illness. In some instances feelings of loneliness and isolation may have been life-long, with relating to others always being a difficulty. Whatever the reason, The Archway Foundation offers a listening ear, opportunities to meet with others on a regular basis in a supportive setting, subsidised transport to events, and one to one support via befriending. In partnership with 35 Ock Street, Archway runs a Friday evening social group providing space to talk in a supportive atmosphere, develop confidence in meeting new people and develop friendships.
