Abingdon Emergency Foodbank

Many people go through periods of emotional or financial crisis, such as redundancy or illness, when the daily task of providing food for the family can be a real challenge. The purpose of The Food Bank is to support people through that period of crisis by providing 3 days of nutritionally balanced food. A real practical expression of God’s love in the community, the Food Bank also seeks to provide a place of welcome, support and advice to those it serves.

The Foodbank was launched in April 2009 and is operating in both north and south Abingdon.
