Several ministries cater towards women at Christ Church. The first to mention is Oasis.
OASIS
Oasis welcomes women of all ages for a time of refreshment, renewal and friendship. The morning takes place in a relaxed cafe style with real coffee, teaching based on a termly theme, discussion in small groups around the tables, and prayer either in your group or with the prayer ministry team.
We are a growing group both in numbers and in our relationships - with God and with each other. We meet on alternate Wednesdays in term time from 9:45 - 11:15 ( list dates here ) with a crèche available from 9:30. Do come and join us!
"Come". Whoever is thirsty.....let him take the free gift of the water of life. Rev.22 v.17
Link is another group at Christ Church for women, specifically young mums and their children
LINK
Link meets each week on alternate Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. It aims to welcome Parents and Carers with their toddlers into Christ Church in a safe environment. The Wednesday sessions have around 50 Mums with their children, and the Thursday group has around 20 people attending with a team of four helpers. The children have games and toys in the church hall whilst the Mums chat and have coffee in the Lounge with the smaller babies. A favourite activity is a regular singing slot. We also have a regular, and increasingly popular, library on parenting books.
In addition to this, we have various activities such as a Swop Shop, Nearly New Clothing Sales and Half Price book Sales and we have been able to donate the proceeds to various charities. A Photographer comes along twice a year and we also have Teddy Bear's picnic, a Sports Day in summer and a Fireworks party in November.
In addition to Oasis and Link, we also have a Women’s Fellowship at Christ Church
Women's Fellowship meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:45 pm in the Church Coffee Lounge. Our Aim is: "To provide Christian Fellowship for women of all ages, fostering a personal faith in Jesus Christ, and its practical outworking in family and social life."
