Youth

Our vision is to see every young person recognise that they are created by God, deeply loved by Him, and secure in the salvation offered by Jesus Christ. We envision a community where young people are inspired to connect with Jesus in a life-changing way, where every individual is welcomed into a loving family of the church, and where those who are connected continue to grow in faith, learning to love God wholeheartedly and serve others.
We dream of a generation rooted in their God-given identity, confident in His grace, and empowered to live out their purpose for His glory.

Our Groups

All young people in Y7-13 are welcome to the groups and social events that we run. If you're new to the area, new to church, or just interested in finding out more, please get in touch with our Youth Pastor, Abi Pike, who would love to tell you more about what we do.

Midweek Groups

We love to meet up with our young people during the week in term time, and have two weekly youth groups - one for younger youth (Y7-9) and one for older youth (Y10-13) - as well as a fortnightly group for those who are interested in leading or supporting worship. For more information speak to Abi Pike, our Youth Pastor on abi.pike@cca.uk.net.

(2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 6:45pm-8:15pm)

Young people who sing, play an instrument, or help with sound/AV tech meet fortnightly to learn about leading and serving through worship. Each evening is a time for a short Bible study followed by a jam session. Our young people often are involved in leading worship in the Sunday services and at youth and children's events including the Youth Weekend Away and Holiday Club. Everyone welcome.

Forged Socials

Forged Socials
(2nd Fridays, 6:45pm-8:30pm)

Once a month, our older youth have a more informal social event in the Barn at Northcourt Road. Often organised by the young people this is a relaxed time to chill out with friends, hear a short talk on a current issue, and enjoy snacks and games. It's perfect for building friendships and making new ones. Friends are always welcome.
For Years 10-13.

Sunday Groups

We want to encourage all of our young people to come to church each week whether that's at our Long Furlong or Northcourt Road sites. Groups for younger youth are offered during the service each week on both sites and we encourage older youth to attend the service (where many of them often serve alongside adult teams). All young people are warmly invited to the weekly 6:30PM service at Northcourt Road where they often sit together, sometimes making use of the craft table at the back of church.

Lazers (Sundays, 10:00am)

Lazers
(Sundays, 10am)

Young people at Long Furlong join the church family to worship at the start of the service each week and then go out to their own group for fun and games, Bible study and prayer. Although we encourage older youth to stay in the service (and many of them serve alongside adult teams), all are welcome to attend if they wish to.
For Years 7+.

Pathfinders (Sundays, 11:15am)

Pathfinders
(Sundays, 9:30am)

Young people at Northcourt Road join the church family to worship at the start of the service each week and then go out to their own group in the Barns Cafe for fun and games, Bible study and prayer. Older youth stay in the service (and many of them serve alongside the adult teams and/or come to the evening service).
For Years 7-9.

Brunch

Brunch
(1 Sunday a Term, 9:30am)

All of our younger youth meet together for brunch once at month in the Barns Cafe on Northcourt Road. This is a chance for those who normally attend church at Long Furlong or at Northcourt Road to get together for food and games and a short reflection from the Bible. Afterwards, young people from Long Furlong are walked back to rejoin their families in time for the end of the LF service.
For Years 7-9.

Toasties

Toasties & Chat
(Sundays, 5:30pm)

All our young people are invited to join us for fun, games and toasties in the Lounge on Sunday evenings before the evening service. This is a great opportunity to spend time with friends before we all go into the 6:30pm service together.
For Years 7-13.

Youth Weekend Away

Youth Weekend Away

Every February we run the Youth Weekend Away at the start of the school half term. It's a great time for all of our young people, together with young people from other local churches, to go away together and spend time getting to know each other God better. It's a weekend of fun, worship, friendship, games, crafts, activities, teaching, and prayer. This is the highlight of the year as it's a time to build friendships, encourage one another, create lasting memories together, focus on faith, and go deeper in our relationship with Jesus - not to mention trying out new things, growing in confidence, having a lot of fun, and eating amazing food.

In order to ensure that we can keep our young people safe and understand how best to support them in our groups and activities, we require that parents complete a consent form for each young person. Please use the link below.
